What is ARCA?
ARCA is Yerette's proprietary sector and sub-sector classification system for publicly traded equities. Unlike GICS or ICB — which are institutional, expensive, and opaque — ARCA is built for independent developers and retail-facing finance tools. Classifications are determined by primary revenue source, not perception or ownership. The dataset covers the S&P 500, S&P 400, S&P 600, Nasdaq 100, and DJIA, plus notable additions.
